AIA Connecticut has announced that Rob Metzgar, of Neil Hauck Architects, is the recipient of an Honor Award in the 2016 Drawing Award program

September 16, 2016:  AIA Connecticut has announced that Rob Metzgar, of Neil Hauck Architects, is the recipient of an Honor Award in the 2016 Drawing Award program.  The entry was a digital elevation that was parsed into layers of depth, output to a laser cutter, and then reassembled as a series of planes offset to show their relative depth.  The Z-axis was scaled independently to 1/13^th that of the X and Y axes, compressing the depth.  The low relief occupies an ambiguous area between digital and analog at the intersection of drawing and model.  To view the winning entry, please click here.
